ARE MEN AND WOMEN TRULY EQUAL? by AYO GARBA

I believe in equality of all human beings. I will explain.
My believe is that we are all created in the image and likeness of God. In respect to our person hood, we are all equal: male and female, the rich and poor, the old and young, black and white. Everyone must be given the same treatment in terms of general rights and privileges
But I understand that we may all be equal has Human beings created in the image and likeness of God; we are not all equal in the order of things.
Jesus said amongst all men born to women under the Old Testament, john the Baptist is the greatest.
That means that not every Old Testament prophet is equal.
A servant is not greater than his master.
There are people, and there are 'people'.
A child is not equal to her parents in that he is under her parents in hierarchy and government of things.
When the same child becomes a teenager, we cannot claim that he is equal to a new born baby. We cannot treat them equally.
Fairness thus is not about treating people equally, it's about treating them properly
A mentor of mine says, "Life is in stages, men are in sizes"
This, I agree with very well.
A president cannot be treated like you will treat a normal citizen; it will be unfair on his position, authority and to where he belongs in the hierarchy or order of things.
A gate man for example has a normal human right and equality with his boss as it relates to his personhood, outside the context of his office, he is treated different from how he is treated at the post where he works, but in hierarchy and position at the office, they are different and for the gateman to want to be treated like the manager is self delusion, same for the manager, if he expects to be treated like the gateman, it will be unrealistic.
To be continued…
